Take your Child to Work Day is an annual tradition across Canada. One that I remember from when I was in high school years ago :) At Van Tech we had about 70% of students partake last year - this year even more, I hope! Information is available here: http://www.thelearningpartnership.ca/what-we-do/student-programs/take-our-kids-to-work On Thursday and Monday I'll be going to English classes to give out the information to all students. The first page is to be completed by family and returned. The second is a learning log that is completed after the workplace day is completed. Timeline: Monday, October 30th - Forms must be returned to Mr. Van or students won't be able to participate. Wednesday, November 1st - Take Your Child to Work Day happens Monday, November 6th - Learning log returned to Mr. Van. Here are all the files for your own copy... Email me if you have questions: [email protected]
CART (Child & Adolescent Response Team) is the Vancouver organization that supports school aged youth access support for a wide variety of services. They are most known as the organization that someone like myself might call in for concerns around suicide, but they also offer a lot of other services, as shown below. Their workshops are highly regarded, so I wanted to share them for you in case you were curious. Contact me if you have questions. Cheers. |
