The Vancouver Police Department is accepting applications for it's pretty fantastic cadet program. Students who are both interested or not-interested in becoming police officers can apply. This program includes a lot of activity, commitment, and out trips. It's reasonably intense in commitment, but great for any student currently in grade 9, 10, or 11. It starts in September and this current application period is available until May 31st. Online Summer School opens at VLN on May 14th! Online summer school gives full course credit to many courses, but unlike the 12 month version, this summer school lets students work on a course they choose from May 14th until the end of July. For most courses students will need to come in to VLN (located inside John Oliver School at 41st and Fraser) twice - once for a midterm and once for a final.
