Please let your Grade 9 girls know about our upcoming event at our Vancouver Campus:

Engineering Explorations 9: Go ENG Girl  Saturday, October 17, 9:00am-3:30pm

A day of engineering activities where Grade 9 girls can connect with other like-minded students. During this fun workshop, they will be able to talk to current engineering students and professors who will share their stories and experience. The event is FREE and lunch will be provided to all registered participants. We will be in touch again this year, asking for your nominations for your top grade 12 science/math students interested in engineering to attend our Future Leaders Breakfast – a part of our Open House activities. Keep an eye out for our email or letter.

Save the date: Engineering Open House – Saturday, November 28 – our biggest event of the year!

Geering Up High School Outreach – we’ll come to your classroom: find out more here: www.geeringup.apsc.ubc.ca.

Science World, Innovators Speaker Series: In honour of Ada Lovelace Day: five inspiring women in STEM share their thoughts on what it is like to work in STEM fields – at Science World on October 13.

Lab tours – in September and October

Engineers help prevent disease, reduce poverty and create solutions to protect people and our planet: engineers are humanitarians, innovators, visionaries and entrepreneurs. An in-demand and rewarding option, in almost any industry you can imagine, engineers are involved. Many engineers also use their degree to become doctors, lawyers, CEOs and entrepreneurs.

These amazing opportunities, as well as all our program options are all showcased in our new Engineering Viewbook (3 copies/school in the mail). Please forward these viewbooks to your career counsellors. If you would like copies for yourself or to request more, please contact [email protected].
